so i decided i had too much on hand cash and bought a camera late last nite. thanks to BillH for the link to a great camera comparison site! on Digital Photography Review, you just select the features you want and it generates a list of matching cameras and links to c|net’s shopper site for the cheapest stores on the net. i tried countless queries and one camera kept showing up more than the others. i was probably just tired and clicked through to buy that one… but regardless of how i came to the conclusion, my very own Panasonic Lumix DMC-LZ1 was shipped today so i should get it in time to take to cornerstone next wk.

while my ol Creative Video Blaster WebCam Go ES had its day, that day is not today. to reiterate this point, creative does not host anything i can link to related to the product for you to view, only the driver download. that 0.3 megapixal camera is probably camparible to what you find on PDAs and mobile phones now. i will have to take some camparison photos w/ the old and the new cams at 640×480. i probably won’t get around to installing gallery til july, but when i do that just might be my first category. we shall see…

The Etherkiller

wow, what can i say? The Etherkiller is the best worst idea you can probably do with old computer peripherals and too much spare time. i guess i’m partially inspired, partially surprised flynn, josh, and i didn’t do this in high school. i guess the lesson here is to always inspect used hardware before plugging in.

friday. beer. nadas. high life lounge. some other bar. rest.

saturday i made it down to burlington for mindi & billock’s wedding. the ceremony was beautifully done – always a joy to see a band wedding. the reception at the beckman residence was a great time. i loved their old house, not to mention the view of the mississippi. there was a big-top in the yard and it was really nice meeting both of their families. sometime that evening, nancy and i decided to get married. i don’t think we’re engaged… all plans currently impending. i spose my favorite part of the nite was when i emptied the flowers out of the center-piece and filled this mighty holy grail with the loved-by-all drink of life.

my softball team, the Cube Monkeys, had another fine game today. between my amazingness at the plate, my incredible catches as catcher and running in circles in the outfield, we ended up losing a very close match 23-2. the 10 pt rule almost ended the game twice, but we were able to prevail to the 55 minute game cut-off. did i mention my team spends its days in a cubicle jungle, while our worthy opponent was made up from a union of brick-layers? yeah, go cyclones.

they’re like vampires… or the gays!
