picture promise

so i decided i had too much on hand cash and bought a camera late last nite. thanks to BillH for the link to a great camera comparison site! on Digital Photography Review, you just select the features you want and it generates a list of matching cameras and links to c|net’s shopper site for the cheapest stores on the net. i tried countless queries and one camera kept showing up more than the others. i was probably just tired and clicked through to buy that one… but regardless of how i came to the conclusion, my very own Panasonic Lumix DMC-LZ1 was shipped today so i should get it in time to take to cornerstone next wk.

while my ol Creative Video Blaster WebCam Go ES had its day, that day is not today. to reiterate this point, creative does not host anything i can link to related to the product for you to view, only the driver download. that 0.3 megapixal camera is probably camparible to what you find on PDAs and mobile phones now. i will have to take some camparison photos w/ the old and the new cams at 640×480. i probably won’t get around to installing gallery til july, but when i do that just might be my first category. we shall see…

  1. Looks like a keeper. Now for the software; may I suggest Picasa? A co-worker here showed me the program and I was sold. It lets you touch up those digital photos and even lets you send them off to get prints done professionally. I sent mine to WalMart (well, hardly professional photography!?) and they came out beautifully! All I had to do was go pick them up, but there is a mail-delivery option as well.
